Year 11, Book 90

90. The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher

This was a terrible book. I do not recommend to anyone. I guess maybe die hard Star Wars fans who couldn’t stand to miss one shred of information about Star Wars should read it, but I doubt even they would actually enjoy it. Fisher starts off by talking about her early career and how she wound up cast in Star Wars. That part was okay, but it only last for a couple of chapters. Then she veers off into talking about how she had an on set affair with Harrison Ford even after saying she never thought it would be right to share anything about it. Then why now? Seems opportunistic and unnecessary to me.

There is then a huge chunk in the middle of the book of diary entries about their affair supposedly written at the time they were filming Star Wars. Boooring. This book was not good. Allow me to save you from reading it. I give a 2 out of 10.
